PROGRAMSWe know that many of our students need more support. They don’t have a lot of money. Few of our students can afford to drive. Many live in crowded conditions in homes where English is not the primary language. Sometimes they simply need a quiet place to study and someone to remind them to do it. We understand the problems, but we don’t dwell on them. We use our energy to find solutions. We help young people connect to their school and to accept their academic challenges. We teach them to respect their teachers, their peers and ultimately themselves. We expect a lot. And when we get it, we celebrate it. |
